Four suspects sought in Fargo armed robbery

Fargo police on Wednesday were seeking four suspects, two of whom allegedly pointed a gun at a man and stole his backpack in an armed robbery Tuesday night.

The victim, a 21-year-old Fargo man, told police he noticed four men – two black and two white – in a black sport utility vehicle watching him as he left Kmart at 2301 S. University Drive, Sgt. Mark Lykken said.

The victim told police he rode his bike to a parking lot at 18th Street and 25th Avenue South, where two men got out of the SUV and approached him with handguns and demanded money. The victim said he tried to get away by running, but the suspects caught him and stole his backpack, Lykken said.

The armed suspects were described as a black male about 25 years old with shoulder-length hair and a baseball cap, and a white male about 25 with shorter dark hair and a T-shirt.

Officers called to the scene at 9:30 p.m. canvassed the area but didn’t find any suspects or witnesses, Lykken said.

The incident remains under investigation.
