75-year-old Ellendale man dies in crashELLENDALE, N.D. – A 75-year-old Ellendale man was killed Tuesday afternoon in a vehicle crash on Highway 281 about five miles south of Ellendale.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol is not releasing the man’s name at this time.
The man, driving a 2002 Saturn, was northbound on Highway 281 entering North Dakota from South Dakota just before 2 p.m. when he drove left of the center line. He struck a southbound 2001 fuel truck driven by Kevin Barton of Frederick, S.D., according to a release from the Highway Patrol.
The 75-year-old man died at the scene. Barton was taken by Ellendale Ambulance to St. Luke’s Hospital in Aberdeen, S.D., for treatment of his injuries.
