North Dakota prepares for winter stormBISMARCK – Gov. John Hoeven has issued a state of alert in preparation for a winter storm that could bring blizzard conditions to parts of the state through Saturday.
The State Emergency Operations Center is prepared to activate as necessary, and the National Guard has been instructed to identify personnel who can respond in an emergency.
A winter storm warning is in effect for the central area through tonight and for the east through Friday night. A blizzard watch has been issued for the west and central parts of the state Friday through Saturday.
