Weekend Watch: F-M Symphony’s Holiday Pops Concert
After opening local ears to the music of Cuba with its November Masterworks concert, the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony Orchestra casts far and wide for its Holiday Pops Concerts. While standing on stage at the Fargo Theater, 314 Broadway, conductor Jane Linde Capistran ranges from America (Leroy Anderson’s 1948 piece “Sleigh Ride”) to Russia (Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker Suite”) and many points in between for this celebration of seasonal compositions. The music starts at 7 tonight and Saturday night with a 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday. A 4 p.m. Sunday show was added for the Center for the Arts in Fergus Falls, Minn. Tickets for the Fargo shows are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and $6 for students. (218) 233-8397.
