Navy Blue Angels name Fargo AirSho its favorite

Angels are smiling on Fargo. The Blue Angels, that is.

The U.S. Navy flying group named the Fargo AirSho its favorite show in 2009, according to a news release from the Fargo AirSho.

The award was made during the International Council of Air Shows in Las Vegas and was accepted by Lt. Col. Mike DePree of the North Dakota Air National Guard Happy Hooligans and Fargo AirSho co-chairmen Darrol Schroeder and Dick Walstad.

The Blue Angels also announced they will perform at the next Fargo AirSho, Aug. 13-14, 2011. Also appearing then will be Greg Boe and his MX2 aerobatic airplane, three P-51 pilots known as The Horsemen,

F-16 pilot John Klatt and the return of Jim “Fang” Maroney and his Super Chipmunk.
