Schultz fires 4-under par 68 in third round of Q-schoolFargo golfer David Schultz shot a 4-under par 68 on Friday in the third round of the PGA Tour Qualifying tournament.
His three-day total of 213 was good enough to get him into a tie for 36th with several golfers still on the course Friday afternoon.
The top 25 and ties after the six-round tournament earn their PGA Tour card for 2010.
Halfway through the tournament, Schultz is two strokes out of tour card status. However, that status could change as more golfers finish on Friday.
