Consultant named for NDSU president searchFARGO – A consultant to lead the North Dakota State University president search has been named, Chancellor Bill Goetz announced today.
Washington, D.C., firm Academic Search Inc. will work with a search com-mittee to recommend a successor to President Joseph Chapman.
Senior consultant Garry W. Owens will lead the search process. The former academic dean led the president search at Dickinson State University in 2007.
Owens also recently conducted a vice presidential search at the University of South Dakota and a chancellor search at the University of Minnesota Rochester.
The date of the first search committee meeting will be announced soon, Goetz said in an e-mail to committee members.
