North Dakota checkpoints result in 28 citations, 1 arrestA weekend patrol operation in Richland and Sargent counties resulted in 28 citations and one arrest, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The operation was conducted Friday and Saturday night and included a saturation patrol and a sobriety checkpoint.
Officials issued 28 citations for various traffic violations and 29 warning citations during the patrol. One person was arrested for driving with a suspended license, according to the patrol.
During the one-hour sobriety checkpoint late Saturday, no arrests were made among the five vehicles that passed through the checkpoint, at the intersection of Highway 127 and Highway 11 in southern Richland County.
