Moorhead police waiting to release name of man who was pulled out of river

Moorhead Police have not yet released the name of the 25-year-old Moorhead man who fell into the Red River on Friday and was pulled out by a passer-by.

Lt. Chris Carey did not know the man’s condition. He had been taken to MeritCare Hospital in Fargo.

“Best we know he’s still hanging in there,” Carey said.

Carey said once they know that the man is “out of the woods,” they will release his name and the names of the two men who were walking on the Burlington Northern railroad bridge with him.
