Trade Talk: Mexican eatery to open in Fargo

Jalapenos Authentic Mexican Restaurant and Grill will be opening in Fargo in early December in the former Kroll’s Diner at 2901 Main Ave.

The restaurant will have a menu that includes all kinds of authentic Mexican food, steaks and drinks, said owner Ramon Vazquez.

The restaurant is part of Genesis Corp., based in Bowling Green, Ky., and operator of four El Mazatlan restaurants in that state, Vazquez said.

Jalapenos will seat about 200 people and employ 10 to 15 full- and part-time workers, he said. Vazquez also operates My Mexico restaurant in Minot, N.D., as part of a different corporation and plans to open another in Grand Forks, N.D., in December, he said.
