Author Winskye makes Fargo stop on book tour

Author Paula F. Winskye of Sheyenne, N.D., will stop at Sweet Dreams Confections in Fargo from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday as part of her holiday book tour.

Winskye’s latest novel, “Silent Stranger,” is a romance/mystery set on a remote Wyoming ranch where Michelle Bowman teaches in a one-room school. On a hike with her students, she sees human footprints that lead to a starving man who is unable to communicate.

Winskye’s lifetime love of horses helps her create characters who have a way with horses.

Her previous novel, “Greener Pastures,” a romance between a single mother and a cutting horse trainer, also reflects that interest.
