The Forum snubs opera productions
‘Thank you for the wonderful write-up of the F-M Opera’s recent performance of ‘La Bohéme.’ I am glad your support of the performing arts includes recognizing how much phenomenal local, national and international talent the F-M Opera presents to the community.”
These are the words I would like to have written sincerely. Instead I write them to remind you that three of the past four major FMO productions have been snubbed by The Forum and have not had a performance review.
We are so fortunate for a metro area of our small size to have an opera company that is both flush with talent and financially solvent. Lack of recognition and encouragement of the populace to attend will only jeopardize our attempt to remain one of the foremost performing arts organizations in the region.
If you want to keep variety in the Life section, give us a chance to impress you and review our performances on a consistent basis.
