College golf: Anderson leads Wichita tourney after first dayNEWTON, Kan. – North Dakota State freshman Amy Anderson has a two-shot lead after the first round at the Wichita State Shocker Invitational women’s golf tournament on Monday at San Creek Station.
Anderson, from Oxbow, N.D., carded a 1-over-par 73 and leads North Texas’ Jordan Rose by two strokes. Three other golfers are three shots back.
NDSU is third in the eight-team field with a 322, 15 shots behind North Texas.
The final round is at 9 a.m. today.
