Former Blues official reaches plea dealThe lawyer for a former Blue Cross Blue Shield official accused in a child pornography case says a plea agreement has been reached with prosecutors.
Robert Scheiring has pleaded not guilty to federal charges of distribution and possession of child pornography. His attorney, Steven Light, filed notice Monday asking for a change of plea hearing.
Scheiring resigned in May from his position as assistant vice president at Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota.
He is accused of possessing more than 600,000 images of child pornography. Investigators say he viewed some of the pornographic images while at work.
