Two North Dakota stores close for nonpayment of bills

Two stores in southeastern North Dakota were closed after deputies executed a judgment for more than $146,000 against the owner.

The Colfax Store in Colfax and the Aber Store in Abercrombie were closed Wednesday after a judgment signed June 16 by Cass District Judge Wade Webb was executed by Richland County deputy sheriffs.

The Farmers Union Oil Co. of Moorhead sued the stores’ owner, Donna Mae Buchholz, in April for failure to pay for fuel deliveries over an extended time. The company received a judgment for $146,231, according to court records.

The company seized property under the court judgment.
