Stimulus dollars back Cass water projects

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Cass Rural Water District are teaming up to install water-supply infrastructure in Cass County.

The project will include designing and building 17 miles of 12-inch water transmission line between Casselton and Reservoir E, located about five miles south of Leonard.

It also involves about 11 miles of eight-inch water line between Kindred and Reservoir E, as well as about 10 miles of 6-inch and three miles of 4-inch pipeline from Kindred to Davenport.

The U.S. Army Corps received $3.75 million in stimulus dollars for the projects.
