West Fest celebration has eye on the future

The 18th annual West Fest parade is at 1 today in West Fargo.

  • The theme this year is, “We’re Building for the Future.” It was created to coincide with all of the construction West Fargo is going through, according to the West Fargo Area Chamber of Commerce Web site.

  • West Fest kicks off at 7 a.m. with a pancake breakfast at Faith Lutheran Church.

  • Activities throughout the day include 5K runs, softball and horseshoe tournaments. There will be food and a Penny & Pals show on Sheyenne Street. There will also be a carnival with games, food, and entertainment at South Elementary at 2:30 p.m.

  • There will be a Valley Vintage Car Show at Veteran’s Memorial Arena today and Sunday.
