Relay for Life raised $86,000

The 2009 American Cancer Society’s Annual Cass County Relay For Life raised more than $86,000 to help the society continue its quest to find a cure for cancer. This success can be attributed to a number of factors, starting with the incredible generosity of our sponsors, including Union State Bank, HB Sound, Walmart, Innovis Health, Kohl’s, YMCA, Powerplay DJ, State Bank & Trust, RDO Equipment, Games To Go, Pizza Ranch, Target, Swanston Equipment, Bremer Bank, Texas Roadhouse, PartyLite, Starbucks, Fargo Coffee, Hornbacher’s, Cash Wise and the many other area businesses that donated monetary and in-kind products. We thank you for your continuous support and truly appreciate your loyalty.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2009 Relay For Life event including the 34 teams, 300-plus participants, and the 14 planning committee members. We are eternally grateful for all your hard work and dedication.

A special thank-you to Darren Ebensteiner and Laura Larson, 2009 Cass County Relay For Life event co-chairs, for leading an outstanding group of committee members. It was a privilege for me to be able to work with you as your staff partner.

Every dollar raised through the Cass County Relay For Life is used by the American Cancer Society to help fund cancer research, its state and national legislative advocacy, and the society’s many educational and community service programs.

Also, thank you to the Survivors who participated in this year’s event. You continue to provide hope and inspiration to everyone. Again, thank you to everyone in the area who helped make this year’s American Cancer Society Cass County Relay For Life such a tremendous success. Your generosity is paying off with every advancement in cancer research.
