Fargo plans sobriety checkpoint ThursdayFARGO - A sobriety checkpoint is scheduled Thursday as part of an effort to deter drunken driving in Fargo.
Officers from Fargo, North Dakota State University and Cass County plan to collaborate on the effort.
A news release issued by Fargo did not detail the location of the checkpoint, but said it will be within city limits.
Since October 2004, Fargo police has conducted 41 sobriety checkpoints that have resulted in 131 arrests for DUI.
Law enforcement encourages securing a safe and sober ride in order to reduce alcohol related crashes.
