Second man arrested in Gilby bank robberyDETROIT LAKES, Minn. – A second man has been arrested in connection with a robbery earlier this summer at a bank in Gilby, N.D., according to a news release from the Minnesota State Patrol.
A trooper pulled over a car Tuesday night for speeding east of Detroit Lakes on Highway 10. The driver, William Randall Collins, 46, of Nashville, Tenn., was found to have an FBI arrest warrant in connection with the bank heist in Gilby.
The vehicle Collins was driving was listed as stolen from a dealership in Florida, according to the news release. Troopers turned Collins over to the FBI.
Last week, Clifton Patterson was charged in Grand Forks County (N.D.) District Court for the bank robbery, in which two suspects took more than $50,000 from the Bremer Bank branch in Gilby on May 26.
