Police arrest Fargo man in assault at parkFargo police arrested a 25-year-old man on suspicion of aggravated assault after a man was hit in the head with a pipe Sunday night at Lindenwood Park.
The assault was reported at 8:10 p.m. after an argument became physical, police said. The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.
Bolo Poeth Deng, 25, of Fargo was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault at 12:47 a.m. Monday at his home at 306 21st Ave. N., Sgt. Ross Renner said.
The victim, a 25-year-old Fargo man whose name was not released, was taken to MeritCare Hospital in Fargo with swelling on the left side of his face and a small tear in his left ear, Renner said. His condition wasn’t known; police said Sunday night his injuries were not believed to be serious.
