Crowd handled well at Moorhead restaurantMy fiancé and I went out to eat Sunday evening (Aug. 16) at the China Garden in Moorhead. We are frequent customers of this restaurant and have had many good meals there. This trip was a bit different than in the past.
We paid for our buffets, sat down and immediately noticed that the entire back room was filled with people. We estimated there to be at least 150 people. We quickly found out that it must be the new group of exchange students attending Minnesota State University Moorhead. We expected this to negatively affect our visit and weren’t expecting to eat much. Could we have been more wrong!
Other than the physical presence of the students, we didn’t know they were there. It was obvious that the group had preplanned and called ahead. And, it was even more obvious that the staff of China Garden was well-prepared for their visit. Not one item on the buffet was ever empty. There were plenty of hot and fresh dishes throughout their entire stay.
Hats off to both MSUM and China Garden for making what could have been a horrible experience at some restaurants another great meal at China Garden.
