Linton votes to join rural water districtLINTON, N.D. – Residents of Linton have voted to abandon their city water service and join a rural water district.
Auditor Wendy Kelsch said the vote was 367 in favor and 45 against hooking up to a South Central Rural Water District pipeline with treated Missouri River water.
Kelsch said the new water supply will reach Linton sometime late next year. A treatment plant will be built as part of the project.
