Oak Grove hires new elementary principalOak Grove Lutheran School has hired a new principal for its south Fargo elementary school.
David Kahl, a former Fargo Public School District teacher and principal, was hired “just a couple weeks ago,” Oak Grove spokeswoman AnnMarie Campbell said Monday.
Former Elementary School Principal Kim Forness resigned from the position earlier this year, but was later asked to reconsider her resignation by the school’s Board of Regents.
“She did,” Campbell said. “We made some changes to the position. (And) she won’t be joining us this year.”
The school’s online Web site states that Kahl is a former elementary teacher and was principal of Fargo McKinley Elementary School for 24 years. He has served as an education consultant throughout the country, co-authored several books on elementary education and is currently an adjunct faculty member at Minnesota State University Moorhead.
