Moorhead School Board will decide on levy referendum tonightMOORHEAD – The School Board here will decide tonight whether to pursue an operating levy referendum this fall.
The board will vote on a resolution on a seven-year, $850 per-pupil excess levy that district leaders say will help maintain programming and class sizes at a time of stagnant state funding. The board meeting takes place at 7 p.m. at the Probstfield Center for Education, 2410 14th St. S.
If the board approves the levy vote, it would take place on Nov. 3. The levy would raise property taxes by an estimated $180 per year on a $100,000 home and $360 a year on a $200,000 home.
