Victims ID'd in vehicle accident west of New Town, NDNEW TOWN, N.D. -- The Highway Patrol has identified the two women killed in a head-on crash west of New Town.
Authorities say 25-year-old Trivian Rush of Minot and 27-year-old Vikilynn Standish of Bismarck died when the car they were in crossed the center line and struck a pickup truck just before 6 a.m. Sunday on state Highway 23. The patrol says Rush was driving the car.
Another passenger in the car, 25-year-old Derek Dawes of Mandaree, was injured, as was the driver of the pickup, 39-year-old Petrus Wiese of Dickinson.
The patrol says the car was heading to New Town and the pickup was traveling from Parshall to an oil rig site.
