Conrad announces scheduled events

The following is a list of scheduled events for Sen. Kent Conrad, D-N.D., during the congressional recess. All events are Central Standard Time unless otherwise noted:

Today

9 a.m.: Velva-area officials host a listening session on the status of health care reform and other community concerns at Valley View Manor in Velva.

11:30 a.m.: Health care reform discussion with community leaders at the Garrison Memorial Hospital.

3:15 p.m.: Roundtable discussion about health care reform in the Hill Top Home of Comfort in Killdeer.

Sunday

2:30 p.m. MST: Health care reform discussion at the West River Health Center in Hettinger.

4:15 p.m. MST:Roundtable discussion about health care at Bowman City Hall.

Monday

2:45 p.m.: Health care reform discussion at St. Aloisius Medical Center in Harvey.

5 p.m.: Community and business leaders will host a 10th anniversary celebration for the Business and Technology Center in Maddock.

Tuesday

9:15 a.m.: Conrad and Acting Federal Emergency Management Agency Deputy Administrator David Garratt and Deputy Commanding General of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Maj. Gen. Riley will meet with local leaders to speak about the ongoing flood threat at the Armory Meeting Room in Devils Lake.

3 p.m.: North Dakota Veterans Leaders will join Conrad to open the new Grand Forks Veterans Affairs Clinic.

5:15 p.m.: Health care reform roundtable at Mayville State University’s Luckasen Room.

Wednesday

12:15 p.m.: Health care listening session at the Milnor Clinic.

2:15 p.m.: Dickey County leaders and Conrad will discuss the status of health care legislation at the Oakes Hospital.

4:45 p.m.: Health care listening session at the Wishek Hospital.
