YouTube stars raise money to fight abuse

MINNEAPOLIS – The St. Paul couple whose dance-stepping wedding march became a YouTube sensation is using their fame to raise money to fight domestic violence.

Jill Peterson and Kevin Heinz boogied down the aisle to “Forever” by Chris Brown. The video has racked up more than 13 million YouTube hits.

It also bumped up online sales for “Forever.” Brown recently pleaded guilty to assaulting fellow singer Rihanna. A message from Peterson and Heinz says they hope to direct their newfound attention to a good cause, and are soliciting donations on their Web site to the Sheila Wellstone Institute “due to the circumstances surrounding the song.”

The wife of the late Sen. Paul Wellstone, who died with him in a plane crash in 2002, was an advocate for victims of domestic violence.
