St. Thomas, N.D., residents on motorcycle die in head-on collision with minivan in northeast North DakotaTwo people died and one person was injured in a head-on collision between a motorcycle and a minivan Friday in northeastern North Dakota.
Authorities have identified the deceased as Bryant Watts, 52, and Cynthia Watts, 46, both of St. Thomas, N.D. The driver of the minivan, John Klava of Grafton, N.D., was injured and was transported to Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, N.D.
The accident happened at about 6:37 p.m. on Highway 81 in Walsh County, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
Klava’s 2002 Chrysler Minivan was northbound and Watts’ 2007 Harley Davidson was southbound when they collided. The minivan ended up in the west ditch and the motorcycle in the east ditch.
The crash is still under investigation.
