Benefit set Monday for North Dakota soldierVALLEY CITY, N.D. – A benefit spaghetti dinner, silent auction, bake sale and meat raffle to raise funds to cover medical expenses for Sgt. 1st Class Darell Berg of Valley City, who has been hospitalized since April 12 after suffering a brainstem stroke, will be from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at the VFW Club here.
Berg is an Iraq war veteran who currently serves as a platoon sergeant with the Valley City-based 231st Brigade Support Battalion and works full time for the National Guard in Valley City.
