Weekend Watch: Downtown Street Fair
You may have already had a taste of midway fare at the Red River Valley Fair (just one more cheese curd won’t hurt!) and the vendors’ wares may be similar to last year, but one unique experience this year’s Fargo Downtown Street Fair offers is a peek at three theatrical hot tickets on different area stages over the next week.
Today and Friday, from the time the tents open at 10 a.m., the Pepsi stage on Second Avenue and Broadway will feature scenes from Trollwood’s “The Wiz,” Gooseberry Park Players’ “The Pinafore Pirates” and “The Great American Trailer Park Musical,” staged nightly at the Fargo Theatre.
Other performances will include the comical juggling of the Amazing Budabi Brothers and yo-yo and juggling artist Noah Curfman. At 2 p.m. Saturday check out the 188th Army Band on Main Avenue and Broadway or keep walking south to see the car show at Island Park. Just save room for a few more cheese curds.
