NDSCS alumnus donates $1 millionWAHPETON, N.D. – A $1 million gift to North Dakota State College of Science will help fund athletic scholarships.
The donation by the late Wilbur A. Lunday, a 1927 NDSCS graduate, and his late wife, Betty, is one of the largest in the history of NDSCS.
The contribution also will support NDSCS and the college’s foundation.
Lunday was a liberal arts major and an athlete at NDSCS.
He and his father founded Lunday-Thagard Co. in South Gate, Calif., which manufactures asphalt felts and coatings.
