Man pleads guilty in school robbery incidentOne of two Fargo South High School students facing felony charges in connection with a March robbery reported at the school has pleaded guilty to an amended charge.
David Witherspoon, 18, initially faced a felony charge of conspiracy to commit robbery but has pleaded guilty to an amended misdemeanor charge of theft of property.
Witherspoon was sentenced to 30 days, all suspended and given credit for one day. He received one year of unsupervised probation and must complete 40 hours of community service.
Witherspoon and Archee Soe, who is still facing charges, were accused of putting another student in a choke hold, stealing $5 from his wallet and threatening to kill him if he told police, Cass County District Court documents state. A 17-year-old also involved was referred to juvenile court.
