New N.D. Blues CEO to be named todayFARGO – Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota today will name a new top executive to head the state’s largest private health insurer.
Dennis Elbert, chairman of the board, will name the Blues’ new chief executive officer at a press conference at 2 p.m.
The board dismissed the previous CEO, Mike Unhjem, following a public uproar over a reward trip for top sales representatives at a luxury resort in the Caribbean.
Tim Huckle, executive vice president of health operations, has served as interim president and CEO since March.
A national search was conducted.
