Four North Dakota airports will receive federal grantsFour airports in North Dakota will receive nearly $1.5 million in federal grants for expansions and improvements.
- Fargo’s Hector International Airport will receive $1 million to improve its drainage system to remove standing water, which can potentially attract wildlife.
- Watford City will receive $54,000 to update the airport’s master plan for the next 20 years and repair the runway.
- The Linton airport will receive $183,000 to rehabilitate the airport terminal and repair runway damage.
- The Jamestown airport will receive $226,000 to expand and update the terminal to meet federal guidelines from the Americans with Disabilities Act.
The grants were awarded by the U.S. Department of Transportation with funds appropriated by Congress.
