Fairgoers advised to take specific routes to West Fargo fairgrounds

With the Red River Valley Fair opening today in West Fargo, motorists are being urged to use specific routes to reach the fairgrounds due to reconstruction of Main Avenue.

Main Avenue reconstruction in West Fargo has reduced traffic to one lane in each direction through the work zone, which extends from Sixth Street West to Fifth Street East.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation advises motorists to take one of the following routes:

- From Interstate 94: Exit at No. 343, go one-half-mile east on Main Avenue, then a quarter-mile south on County Road 28.

- From north Fargo: Take 12th Avenue North to Cass County Road 19, go south on County Road 19 to Main Avenue, turn west on Main Avenue to County Road 28, and then south one-quarter-mile to the fairgrounds.
