Mosquito spraying scheduled for Hunter, river corridors tonightMosquito ground spraying for the Red and Sheyenne river corridors, along with the city of Hunter, is scheduled to begin at 8 tonight, according to a news release from the Cass County Vector Control department.
Spraying along the river corridors was delayed from Tuesday due to poor weather conditions.
A news release today added Hunter to the list of areas planned for mosquito control.
The county’s Vector Control employees plan to spray the Red River corridor through Fargo and the Sheyenne River corridor through West Fargo, weather permitting.
The active ingredient in the insecticide is permethrin, which is nontoxic to humans and pets, but sprayers will be stopped if residents or pets are in the vicinity during application.
