Software company laying off 15 in Valley CityVALLEY CITY, N.D. — A company that provides consulting and support for management software has laid off 15 employees in Valley City and five in Pierre, S.D.
Eagle Creek Software CEO Ken Behrendt said customers have less money to spend in the current economy. He said the laid-off employees will receive severance packages.
Eagle Creek, based in Minnetonka, Minn., opened its center in Valley City in October 2004.
Jennifer Feist is the development director for the Valley City-Barnes County Development Corp. She said the layoffs leave Eagle Creek with about 60 workers in Valley City and 35 in Pierre.
Feist said the company serves Fortune 500 firms, many of which are affected by the economic slump, but she’s optimistic about the future.
