Trollwood plans morning mosquito spraying

MOORHEAD - Aerial mosquito spraying is planned for the Trollwood Performing Arts Center in Moorhead early Wednesday morning.

According to a news release from Airborne Custom Spraying in Halstad, Minn., the company planned to begin applying an insecticide by plane at 6 a.m. Wednesday.

The company said specially trained and licensed pilots would be applying the chemical, which has been approved by the Federal Aviation Administration and the Minnesota Department of Agriculture.

In addition, the chemical is specifically designed for use in residential areas, but people are encouraged to stay indoors while pilots are applying it, the company said.
