A local restaurant helps communitySomeone commented earlier that we should support our local restaurants. I completely agree. However, I would just like you to know that the “aisle dancing” restaurant referred to earlier is locally owned by me and my family.
We support our community 100 percent and helped raise more than $250,000 last year for the Fargo-Moorhead community, and this year it will be even more. We are involved closely with 12 local charities, two Little League teams and 17 schools. We try very hard to give back to the community that we live in.
We feel so privileged that we are able to do that through Texas Roadhouse. And, for the record, we fed more than 4,000 people free food during the flood, and we raised more than 6,500 for the Spirit of Fargo Flood Fund when we offered a free/donation-only lunch.
Don’t be so quick to lump all the chains together. We are just your average neighborhood family doing the best we can.
