Three Affiliated Tribes working on homesPARSHALL, N.D. – A major housing project on the Fort Berthold Reservation is under way.
Tribal and community leaders broke ground Monday for the “200+” homes initiative. Its goal is 210 homes in districts across the reservation.
Tribal Councilman Mervin Packineau said the project is a “dream come true” for tribal residents who could not afford homes.
Tribal Chairman Marcus Levings said earlier that $9 million in federal stimulus money would be used to improve housing, roads and water systems.
