3-year-old on tricycle hit by car in Fargo

FARGO – A 3-year-old girl was hospitalized after being hit by a car while riding her tricycle on Wednesday, police said.

Aspen Laho of Fargo was riding with family members when she crossed without warning in front of the car traveling southbound on Broadway at 30th Avenue North, Sgt. Mark Lykken said.

The driver attempted to miss the girl but couldn’t, he said.

Fargo firefighters rendered first aid, and Laho was taken by F-M Ambulance to MeritCare Hospital.

The officer on scene reported that Laho had mi-nor facial injuries, and her injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, Lykken said.

Laho was still a patient at MeritCare this morning, but her family requested that no information about her condition be released, a hospital spokeswoman said.
