North Dakota airline boardings down slightly in MayBISMARCK - Airline boardings at North Dakota's eight commercial airports in May dropped less than 1 percent from the previous year.
The state Aeronautics Commission says Bismarck and Grand Forks were the only airports that saw passenger increases over the year, of 3.1 percent and 8.2 percent, respectively.
Fargo's boardings were down 2 percent, and Minot's down 7.7 percent.
Overall, boardings at the eight airports dropped by 353 passengers.
Aeronautics Commissioner Larry Taborsky says that with additional service to Chicago, Salt Lake City and Los Angeles to start in June, he expects a passenger increase during the summer months.
