Man pleads not guilty to burglary, rape

BISMARCK – A man accused of breaking into a mentally disabled woman’s home and raping her in April in Bismarck has pleaded not guilty to six charges.

Forty-two-year-old Phillip Seewalker is accused of breaking into the 33-year-old woman’s home while armed with scissors, assaulting her, taking away her phone when she tried to call for help, threatening to kill her, and stealing her phone and money.

The six charges range from gross sexual imposition to burglary. Seewalker faces at least 24 years in prison if convicted, and possibly a life sentence.
