Man charged in Craigslist rape lived northeast of Twin CitiesMINNEAPOLIS – A North Carolina man charged with raping a woman after her husband allegedly arranged the attack on Craigslist is subject of a restraining order in Minnesota.
Rodney Liverman Sr. is charged with first-degree rape and other sex offenses from the May 31 attack in Kannapolis, N.C.
KARE-TV reports Monday that the 39-year-old lived near Lindstrom, northeast of the Twin Cities, for about a dozen years and owned a computer business.
Sue Meland, Liverman’s former landlord, said he left last fall after a failed relationship. Liverman’s ex-wife told KARE he was an abusive husband, and that she hasn’t seen him since a judge issued a harassment restraining order against him Oct. 23.
Liverman is in custody in North Carolina and unavailable for comment. His attorney did not return a phone message left late Monday.
