Gate City Bank doing $4.1 million renovation of downtown Fargo buildingFARGO - Gate City Bank has begun a $4.1 million renovation of its downtown Fargo building.
The project will add needed space for the growing banking company and enhance the building’s appearance, said Steve Swiontek, the bank’s chairman, president and chief executive officer.
Work is expected to be completed next summer.
The building, at 500 Second Ave. N., was constructed in 1956 and serves as both the bank’s corporate office and downtown Fargo branch office.
Gate City has assets of more than $1 billion and serves customers in 19 North Dakota and Minnesota communities.
