Fargo Bombers drop Thompson in doubleheaderThe Fargo Bombers put up 31 runs in two five-inning blowouts over Thompson in American Legion baseball on Wednesday.
Fargo won the first game 12-1, with Matt Fiechtner going 2-for-2 with three RBIs and two runs, and Jordan Gefroh going 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI. Seth Hochstatter (2-0) picked up the win for the Bombers.
The Bombers also won the second game, 19-2. Thompson was plagued by nine errors, while Fargo took over offensively.
Jared Quinlan led Fargo by going 3-for-4 with three RBIs and three runs. Brady Horner chipped in a 2-for-4 game with three runs and an RBI, and Matt Gorden went 2-for-4 with tow RBIs and two runs.
Fargo (5-2) next travels to Hope, N.D., for a 5 p.m. contest on Monday.
