Brost, Carlson have big days at NCAA regional

NORMAN, Okla. – North Dakota State freshman Leslie Brost finished fourth in the pole vault at the NCAA Midwest Regional track and field meet Friday to secure a berth in the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

Brost cleared 13-5 ¾ to advance.

NDSU sophomore Whitney Carlson set a school record in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 58.45 seconds in the prelims. The finals are today.

In men’s finals action, NDSU senior Jeremiah Sellheim finished 22nd in the javelin with a throw of 189-6.
