ND man enters pleas on child porn chargesABERDEEN, S.D. - A former North Dakota man has pleaded not guilty and not guilty by reason of insanity to 25 counts of possession of child pornography and to a charge of attempted sexual exploitation of a minor.
Officials say that during a February Internet chat, 52-year-old Robert Kolding of Aberdeen allegedly sent images to a person he thought was a teenager. Prosecutors say it was an out-of-state undercover agent, who contacted authorities.
Officials say Kolding tried to arrange a meeting with the person, leading to the attempted sexual exploitation charge.
Prosecutors say Kolding has out-of-state felonies on his record, including solicitation of a child to engage in sexual contact and failure to register as a sex offender. He grew up in Larimore, N.D.
A jury trial will be scheduled.
