ND STATE TRACK AND FIELD MEET: Drevlow wins a pair of titles

BISMARCK, N.D. -- Ryan Drevlow said he could feel a big day coming.

The North Sargent-Sargent County senior took the Class B boys shot put state title with a mark of 57 feet, 4 inches. A couple hours later, he won his second state championship of the day, winning the javelin with a throw of 183-1 at Commuinity Bowl.

The toss in the shot put bettered his previous personal best by more than three feet. Drevlow didn't set a personal record in the javelin, winning with a toss of 183-1, but that's because he used them all up. His three best marks of the season in the shot put came during Friday's competition.
